The number of unemployed individuals increased by 161,000 to 7.145 million, while employment levels decreased by 355,000 to 161.141 million. The number of workers quitting jobs in the US rose to 3.326 million in October 2024, the highest in five months, from an upwardly revised 3.098 million in the previous month.
