Hang Seng Index Rises 2%; Meituan Leads Advance

The Hang Seng Index rose 2% at 20,953.34 in Hong Kong. The move follows the previous session's decrease of 2.2%.

Meituan contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 5.6%. Haidilao International Holding Ltd. had the largest increase, rising 9.3%.

Today, 65 of 82 shares rose, while 16 fell; all sectors were higher, led by commerce and industry stocks.
