Dalam jangka pendek, sikap para pelaku pasar terhadap emas telah berubah menjadi bearish, tetapi emas bukanlah sesuatu yang sulit dijual hanya karena pasar mengharapkan lebih sedikit pemangkasan suku bunga, kata Hathorn dalam sebuah catatan. Masih banyak hal yang perlu dikhawatirkan investor. Konflik politik dan militer, di samping melemahnya permintaan konsumen di Tiongkok dan Eropa akan mendukung emas. Masa jabatan Trump juga dapat menyebabkan ketegangan lebih lanjut dalam hubungan internasional,yang menambah permintaan safe haven, tambahnya.
