China Opposes US Chip Tariff Plans, Stresses Negative Impact on Industry

Pemerintah China secara resmi menyatakan penolakannya terhadap rencana tarif baru yang akan diberlakukan Amerika Serikat terhadap impor chip semikonduktor asal China. Pernyataan ini disampaikan juru bicara Kementerian Luar Negeri China dalam konferensi pers rutin di Beijing, di tengah meningkatnya ketegangan di sektor teknologi global.

China mengecam langkah Washington sebagai penggunaan tarif yang terlalu luas dan tidak adil, yang menurutnya akan "menekan industri China secara tidak masuk akal" serta merugikan stabilitas rantai pasokan global. Pemerintah China mendesak AS untuk mengubah arah kebijakan tersebut dan memilih dialog daripada tindakan sepihak, sambil menyatakan akan mengambil langkah yang diperlukan untuk melindungi kepentingan nasionalnya jika tarif tersebut tetap diberlakukan.

Langkah AS terkait tarif chip semikonduktor merupakan bagian dari kebijakan yang lebih luas untuk membatasi dominasi China dalam industri teknologi tinggi, termasuk kontrol ekspor dan pembatasan perdagangan lainnya yang telah berlangsung sejak pemerintahan sebelumnya. Namun, administrasi AS telah mengumumkan bahwa pengenaan tarif tambahan tersebut akan ditunda sampai pertengahan 2027, memberi waktu bagi negosiasi lebih lanjut antara kedua negara.

Sebelumnya sebagian media global juga melaporkan berbagai dinamika perang dagang teknologi antara AS dan China, termasuk langkah tarif sebelumnya dan dampaknya terhadap hubungan bilateral serta pasar teknologi dunia. Isu ini tetap menjadi titik penting dalam pembicaraan ekonomi dan kebijakan antara Beijing dan Washington.(Cay)
