Shanghai Composite Falls 3.5%; Kweichow Moutai Leads

The Shanghai Composite Index is falling for the third day, dropping 3.5 percent, or 101.18 to 2,822.31 in Shanghai in early trading.

Kweichow Moutai Co. contributed the most to the index decline, decreasing 4.4 percent. Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co. had the largest drop, falling 10.0 percent.

In early trading, 1,487 of 1,548 shares fell, while 49 rose; all sectors were lower, led by industrial stocks.
