Bursa China Turun Karena AS Mempertimbangan Membatasi Arus Investor

Saham-saham China turun pada Senin setelah adanya laporan bahwa pemerintahan Trump sedang mempertimbangkan cara untuk membatasi eksposur investor AS terhadap aset China.

Indeks CSI 300 turun 0,3% dalam perdagangan pra-pasar, menyusul penurunan di saham China yang terdaftar di AS pada Jumat malam setelah berita itu. Pergerakan di daratan dapat diperburuk oleh likuiditas yang tipis menjelang liburan selama seminggu, serta penutupan posisi yang biasanya terlihat pada akhir kuartal. Yuan naik 0,1% di luar China pada Senin jam 9:25.

Sementara seorang pejabat Departemen Keuangan mengatakan tidak ada rencana untuk menghentikan perusahaan China dari listing di bursa Amerika, ketidakpastian tambahan datang pada waktu yang sangat sensitif bagi China. Negara ini meningkatkan langkah-langkah untuk membuka pasarnya ke modal global, hanya bulan ini menghilangkan rintangan bagi investasi asing ke dalam saham dan obligasi. Para pejabat juga bersiap untuk merayakan peringatan ke-70 Republik Rakyat pada hari Selasa.

Mengintegrasikan pasar modal Tiongkok ke dalam sistem keuangan global telah menjadi prioritas bagi para pembuat kebijakan di negara itu sejak akhir 2017. Sejak di tahun MSCI Inc. pertama kali menambahkan saham-saham daratan ke dalam indeks acuannya, Tiongkok telah mempercepat langkah-langkah yang memudahkan investor asing untuk mengelola risiko. Penyedia indeks FTSE Russell juga merangkul saham A tahun ini, meskipun minggu lalu itu membuat keputusan mengejutkan untuk menolak obligasi China. (frk)
