Pendiri Ikea, miliarder Ingvar Kamprad wafat di usia 91 tahun

Kamprad, miliarder Swedia yang mendirikan Ikea saat berusia 17 tahun dan membangunnya menjadi salah satu peritel furnitur terbesar di dunia, meninggal pada hari Minggu di usia 91.

Kamprad memulai Ikea di pertanian keluarganya pada tahun 1943. Sifat hemat dan etika kerjanya ditanamkan ke dalam identitas korporat Ikea. Ikea sekarang memiliki sekitar 400 toko di seluruh dunia, dan membukukan pendapatan tahunan sebesar $ 39 miliar pada 2016, menurut Statista.

Perusahaan tersebut menargetkan pendapatan tahunan sebesar $ 62 miliar pada tahun 2020, Reuters melaporkan.

Bloomberg™s Billionaires Index menempatkan Kamprad sebagai orang kedelapan terkaya di planet ini, dengan kekayaan $ 58,7 miliar. (Sdm)
