Confront Corona, US Congress Prepares $ 1 Trillion Economic Stimulus RUU
Friday, 20 March 2020 11:26 WIB | GLOBAL |GlobalAmerika

The United States Congress (US), Thursday (3/19), prepared legislation preparations (RUU) to assist US households and development with funding to raise $ 1 trillion amid a corona virus outbreak.

The move began with a proposal from the White House to send a check of financial aid for the first time to Americans. Each family of four will get $ 3,000.

"The American people need help and they need it immediately," Mitch McConnel, chairman of the Senate Majority faction, said at the opening of the Senate hearing.

Finance Minister Steven Mnuchin said the check would be deposited directly into the state account according to the government's plan.

Mnuchin told Fox Business Network that the payment consisted of $ 1,000 per adult and $ 500 per child. That way, a family with two children will receive $ 3,000.

Maintaining salaries for unemployed workers compiling claims Soaring is an important part of the Republican and Democratic plans that emerged from Congress.

Meanwhile, treating a wave of sick US citizens is a priority. Congress wants to increase production of medical supplies and immediately build a temporary hospital at the request of President Donald Trump, which is stated in the Defense Production Act.
