US Homeland Security Officer Defends Border Officer Action
Friday, 19 July 2019 11:36 WIB | GLOBAL |AmerikaGlobal

The US Homeland Security Officer (DHS) requested the protection of officers against approved migrants and their parents' unprotected children on the US-Mexico border, in a hearing on Thursday (18/7) at the Congress building, Capitol Hill.

Acting Minister Kevin McAleenan asked questions from members of the Board's Supervision and Reform Committee, regarding unhealthy issues, prolonged detention, inappropriate requests by officers, and how DHS requested assistance from the number of Permit migrants.

McAleenan said, with only billions of dollars in additional funding from Congress, his office was able to fix problems for migrant children on the border, amid a number of families and minors earlier this year.

However, it is better to fund only one factor in solving increasingly complex problems in the US.
