China Exports Surged Last Year as Global Economy Boosted Demand

China™s exports rose by 10.8 percent in 2017 in yuan terms, as booming global trade buoyed demand for the nation™s manufacturing output.

Imports surged 18.7 percent in local currency terms last year, with the economy on track for its first full-year acceleration since 2010.

The trade surplus stood at 2.87 trillion yuan ($442.3 billion) for 2017.
